Jagat Pharma Organises Eye Care Camp at SHEOWS Garhmukteshwar for Elderly Citizens
We are delighted to announce the successful execution of a day-long eye care camp by the Jagat Pharma team at SHEOWS, an esteemed elderly care facility in Garhmukteshwar, Uttar Pradesh. During this event, a dedicated team comprising five medical professionals and two highly experienced Ayurvedic experts from Jagat Pharma offered consultations to approximately 100 elderly individuals facing various eye-related issues. Additionally, seven faculty members from SHEOWS also availed themselves of this valuable service.
About SHEOWS
For over two decades, the Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphans Welfare Society (SHEOWS) has been dedicated to preserving the well-being of elderly individuals throughout Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh. The Garhmukteshwar branch, housing over 500 senior citizens, provided an optimal setting for Jagat Pharma to efficiently cater to a substantial number of patients in a single day.
About our camp
The camp provided advantages for seniors facing various vision-related challenges, primarily stemming from aging and eye disorders. Individuals in their 70s and 80s, who are particularly susceptible to age-related macular degeneration, found value in the camp's services and medical consultations.
The camp featured thorough eye examinations administered by proficient optometrists and doctors. These assessments aimed to uncover any latent eye conditions or potential issues that could affect the visual health of community members.
Our Director says
Dr. Mandeep Singh Basu, the Director of Jagat Pharma, conveyed his sentiments, stating,“Advanced age is often linked to deteriorating vision and ocular issues. Besides, if one is already afflicted with diabetes and other retinal eye problems could be higher. We are grateful to SHEOWS for teaming up with us in this noble cause, a sincere initiative to illuminate people’s lives.”
